New die-cast alloy cable terminal panels are located low down on the GS20 and GS60 for easy access and neater cable runs. The proprietary HiVe.2 reflex port is designed to reduce turbulence and increase the speed of the air-flow through the port, resulting in faster, cleaner bass attack.

The cast aluminium GS drive unit chassis are held rigidly in place by clamp plates made from a low-resonance combination of die-cast aluminium and zinc. All the components provide a high degree of resonance cancellation and damping. We’ve employed the time-honoured quality of traditional tongue-and-groove jointing to provide a cabinet construction, which is inherently strong and rigid, enhanced by extensive vertical and radial internal bracing.

The massively accomplished GR20 was a hard act to

follow, but its successor, the GS20, pulls decisively ahead in all respects, combining gorgeous aesthetics, sublime sonics and superlative build quality. Its two-and-a-half way, three driver configuration is built around a unique dual-cavity cabinet design, in which the 6 1/2-inch RSTR2 bass and bass-mid drivers work into separate enclosures, tuned to different frequencies and impedances. This provides improved power handling and delivers faster, deeper, more dynamic bass and greater transparency through the crucial mid-range. The GS-FX is a completely new design from Monitor Audio. Its advanced dual-mode configuration can be switched automatically by a processor to accommodate a range of surround sound applications. The speaker’s slim-profiled angled baffle design incorporates no fewer than three driver pairs. When used in monopole mode to reproduce discrete side or rear channels, its front-firing 61/2-inch RSTR2 bass/mid driver and gold C-CAMR tweeter come into play, delivering an accurate wide-bandwidth sound-field to complement perfectly a front-channel GS speaker combination. The new GSW-12 subwoofer is bristling with features packed into a compact high-power enclosure. A new 1000 watt Class D power amplifier is coupled to a new ultra-long throw 12-inch C-CAMR driver, equipped with a massive 4-inch voice coil and a substantial (18kg) double-stack motor system. Inputs/outputs include a balanced XLR input, LFE input (RCA), L/R stereo inputs (RCA), L/R link Inputs (RCA) and a link output (RCA Slave). All inputs and outputs can be configured via the top-mounted control panel or remote to operate as direct links or have programmable filter settings. The control panel features a push/turn rotary encoder operation with variable phase, volume, low pass filter (independent input/output programmable), four EQ settings and input mode selection. Twelve-volt trigger, 9Pin D-connectors and an optional RF eye are provided for system control after custom installation. Monitor Audio's groundbreaking 'dimpled' Rigid Surface Technology (RST) cone profile is further refined with computer Finite Element Analysis to provide smoother response and reduced break-up. For the first time in a loudspeaker, RST is applied to the renowned C-CAM gold dome tweeter. High frequency performance is propelled to another level.

Using the new, low distortion 6.0-inch RST bass-mid driver and RST profile gold C-CAM tweeter developed specially for the GS series, the GS10 is capable of true 3-D imaging and tonal accuracy to rival the best reference studio monitors.

GS20

In its day, the GR20 was hailed as a massively accomplished design at its price point. A hard act to follow, but its successor, the GS20, pulls decisively ahead in performance, value, good looks and sheer desirability. Its two and a half way, three-driver configuration is built around unique dual-cavitycabinet design: 6-inch RST bass and bass-mid drivers work into separate enclosures, tuned to differential frequency points and different impedances to increase power handling and virtually eliminate distortion.

The RST profile gold C-CAM tweeter ensures a smooth, detailed response all the way up to 30 kHz, exploiting the full potential of the latest wide-bandwidth digital formats.

GS60

The elegantly proportioned, three-way GS60 currently represents the state of Monitor Audio's art. Its performance really is "as close as it gets" to the master recording.

Developing the discrete cavity technology of the GS20, the four-driver GS60 recreates the deep bass and authentic scale of a performance, bringing lifelike power, dynamics and realism to music and film. Yet its tall, slender appearance is anything but overpowering. Like all models in the Gold Signature range, the flagship GS60 is a monument to thecabinet-maker's art: immaculate real wood or piano gloss finishes are blended with modern industrial design and superb attention to detail.

GS-FX

The GSFX is a completely new design from Monitor Audio with an advanced triple mode configuration to accommodate a range of surround applications. Its slim-profiled angled baffle design incorporates no fewer than three driver pairs. When used purely as a side or rear speaker, its front-firing array of 6-inch RST bass/mid driver and RST gold C-CAM tweeter (GS-10) come into play, delivering accurate wide bandwidth audio to complement the front-firing GS speakers perfectly. Its innovative multi-function design however, allows it to act as two separate speakers when in bi-pole mode, reproducing side and rear effects through two pairs of 4-inch RST bass/mid and RST gold C-CAM tweeters, positioned on the angled baffles. In dipole mode it uses these driver combinations in opposite phase to provide a wonderfully diffuse yet tonally accurate surround sound effect.

The GS-FX enclosure is finished in a full range of premium wood veneers for a perfect match with any of the speakers In the GS range.

GS-LCR

A beautiful voice

A centre speaker is often required to produce over 60% of the entire sound output and, therefore, must be able to faithfully reproduce explosions and sound effects as well as it does clear, tonally accurate dialogue. The outstanding dynamic reach and generous power handling of the Gold Signature LCR means that it can cope with the most demanding inputs and always have something in reserve.New design ideas have been employed to optimise accuracy, control and dispersion over a wide listening area. And it has the exact tonal signature and balance to integrate “invisibly” with any of the speakers in the Gold Signature range. 

GSW-12

The new GSW-12 ushers in an exciting new era of sub-woofer design from Monitor Audio, redefining standards of performance, versatility and ease of installation in one compact, stunningly potent enclosure.

At the heart of the GSW-12 is a new Class D 1000 watt amplifier that has been designed from scratch using new techniques in Switch-mode power conversion. All of the GSW-12's inputs and outputs can be configured - via the top plate control panel or remote handset - to operate with a direct connection or programmable filter settings, or both. For instance, it can be connected to a stereo hi-fi amplifier using programmed filter/volume settings and to the dedicated LFE output of a dedicated A/V amp where no filtering is required. A balanced input is provided for long cable runs or in situations where a professional grade connection is required.
